Mission description

Offer superior service to meet the changing needs of the clients. Manage and control the activities of the department according to the established budgets in an effort to meet the objectives.


• Know and comply with the procedures related to ocean freight.
• Supervise the workflow of the department
• Offer superior service to clients with the goal of winning their loyalty.
• Analyze and resolve internal and external conflicts.
• Create an environment of teamwork within the department.
• Manage within budget.
• Be the liaison between the ocean freight department and the accounting department.
• Monitor the agents operations in order to ensure that procedures are followed exactly.
• Manage the attendance of employees at work.
• Supervise, train and evaluate the team leaders reporting to you.
• Assist in the annual budget planning.
• Recruit the necessary personnel.
• Other duties as defined by the immediate supervisor.



A diploma of collegiate studies or the academic equivalent and 5-10 years experience in the industry and 1-2 years' experience in supervision.

Very good knowledge of MS Office environment; business acumen; excellent communication skills both oral and written; leadership; integrity; excellent judgment; ability to negotiate; problem-solving; team player; decision-making; communication; and composure are the principle competencies desired.
