Mission description

In this challenging and varied position, you as a declarant correctly apply customs, excise, VAT and import duties and provide the necessary information to customers and/or Bolloré offices. The declarant handles technical assignments in accordance with the prescribed procedures, instructions, AEO & ISO standards. You also ensure that you are and remain informed of changes regarding customs matters and/or legislation.

• Acts both internally and externally as a sounding board for customs technical matters and identifying problems and changes in customs matters;
• Complete customs technical handling of forwarding file for both import and export;
• Applications for file-bound customs permits;
• Preparation of customs declarations;
• Guiding BTI applications or applications on behalf of the importer;
• Classify customs tariff for import, export and transit customs declarations;
• Monitoring customs procedures: BFV, direct representation import and export;
• Supervising customs investigations and file checks;
• Keeping up to date or informing the parties involved, namely customers, operational departments, agents, suppliers, etc. about the forwarding files;
• Monitoring the lead time of customs activities, aimed at optimizing customer satisfaction;
• Handling and registering requests for return, adjustments, non-purification, etc;
• Registers incidents and reports them to the manager.



• MBO+/HBO work and thinking level;
• In possession of professional training declarant;
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience;
• Knowledge of existing customs permits, AEO and ISO;
• Able to take initiative and work independently, but also be able to work well in a team;
• Flexible, customer- and service-oriented attitude;
• Accurate and result-oriented;
• Knowledge of MS office and very familiar with Excel;
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing;
• Accurate and solution-oriented.
