Mission description
Primary Mission:
Create rates for the sea freight department within the required deadlines and to the satisfaction of clients and the company. Act as a liaison for the clients, agents and sales executives.
Responsibilities:
• Build rates in the operational system according to the needs of the clients (both internal and external)
• Process requests within the established timeframe.
• Look at different transport possibilities with shipping companies, trucking companies, and agents from the group and negotiate best possible rates for clients.
• Negotiate traffic rates,
• Follow up on rates in the operational system
• Issue non-conformity notices and customer complaints in accordance with ISO procedures.
• Act as the resource person for overseas agents and suppliers.
• Work together with the sales team and the Bolloré network.
• Other tasks as defined by the immediate supervisor.
Profile
Basic knowledge of Microsoft office and Excel (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
Must be able to communicate well and clearly in English, both written and orally; must possess excellent interpersonal skills; must be a team player; must have good organizational and time management skills; must be attentive to detail; must have a sense of urgency; must be customer service-oriented.
