Job Purpose:
• Accountable for maintaining operational control of VAA UK Stores Facilities whilst leading and motivating the warehouse team to deliver a high quality, efficient service to the operation
• Ensure the proficient storage and movement of aircraft spares, as to maintain an acknowledged flying operation, in accordance with the Civil Aviation and other regulatory bodies requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe and secure working environment within the Civil Aviation Authority and Virgin Atlantic Quality mandatory regulations
• Maintain contact with VAA and suppliers and ensure that all activities, service, administration and communication are run smoothly and maintained accurately
• Ensure that all information is entered onto the warehouse management system and the client's system and dispersed correctly to the warehouse staff



Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Administration of inbound and outbound orders
• Customer interface for warehouse functions
• Ensure customer receive the right orders on time
• WMS, TMS and UM administration and control
• Ensure that Warehouse KPIs are kept on target
• Manage a team of staff, resource levels including absence, annual leave and overtime
• Conduct reviews of all direct report team members
• Manage escalation of investigation to their final outcome
• Maintain quality oversight of all undertaking within area of responsibility, give full assistance to internal/external audits & compliance checks as directed
• Help ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times and fire exits and firefighting equipment accessible at all times. Report on breaches of safety & security
• Report any failures in compliance
• Review findings of inaccurate system data
• Deliver shift handover reports
• Regularly demonstrate to others, safe working practices and delivered training to other members of the team
• Must ensure all policies and procedures are being adhered to
• Ensure that all paperwork and documentation is copied, distributed, filed to allow full traceability by both QHSE and CAA auditors
• Control and update ‘Fly-Docs', ensuring any consequences are transferred to the system.
• Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting Manager

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Knowledge of logistics software or transport management systems
• Experience with the Airline/Aerospace industry and part 145.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Experience of leading people including managing all aspects of HR policy including performance reviews, all employee relations issues and absence management
• A motivational, inspiring leader with outstanding communication skills and full understanding of operational requirements within the warehouse environment
• Excellent people skills with ability to build excellent working relationships across other departments
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and MS Word
