This position is part of the U.S Division but based in Canada

Bollore Logistics is looking to add an experienced full-time IT WMS Project Engineer. This position can be based in either Montréal QC or Toronto ON.

Overview

IT WMS Project Engineer (functional project leader) is a MIS role in charge of implementing BOLLORE LOGISTICS Global Supply Chain & Logistics solution on her/his perimeter (WMS, IT part of automation project, MCSS API if applicable). He/she works within the perimeter she/he is responsible for (local, country, and region) and shall take into consideration customer functional requirements as well as operational and IS constraints so as to propose and implement a customer oriented optimized solution while using base functionalities (WMS SQUARE – Based on Manhattan Associates Platform solution, or BK Systems Speed WMS solution) and Corp defined methodology. She/he reports to MIS organization.

Role and Responsibilities

· Assist the logistic team in collecting the relevant information to define the solution in the system

· Perform functional design activities including client requirements analysis, lead the functional workshops and ensure the process is documented

· Lead project specific software configuration activities, ensuring client business requirements are met and the detailed system configuration is fully documented

· Support the user acceptance tests, user training and go live preparation

· Act as a relay between operational team and technical team to resolve IT issues

· Communicate on project advancement in term of planning and raise alerts if necessary

· In case of EDI implementation with customers:

· Responsible of coordination with customer and development team in the requirements definition

· Document functional specifications with field mappings and business rules between client system and BOLLORE LOGISTICS system

· Organize follow up until delivery to production and stabilization of the solution

· Complete test scenarios with all necessary functional tests

· Develop client/project specific Zebra labels using graphical tool and reports based on SCI-Cognos , or Bartender

· Provide Level 1 support on Supply Chain & Logistics Solutions to internal users with support of software editor and corporate MIS team

 

Profile

Qualifications

· Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science; Management Information Systems; or related technical degree

·Experience with Supply Chain Management domain system and solutions

·Sound understanding of Warehouse Operations, Inbound and Outbound functionalities

·Strong Functional knowledge and experience on WMS modules implementation - Manhattan Associates solutions is a plus

·MCSS exposure would be a plus (TechShip from Techdynamics would be a plus)

·Experience in relational database system & SQL language is strongly recommended; Oracle preferred

·Understanding of client-server architecture-based software

·Strong analytical skills in trouble shooting issues and providing solutions

·A clear sense of ownership for all assigned tasks to deliver on-time and with quality

·Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

·Interest and aptitude for technology
