Mission description

About the role

The Managing Director defines and drives mid and long term mission and vision of the Company. Ensures continuous and efficient performance of all departments in a harmonious environment and customers are handled in a manner that reflects the group's aspiration for excellent quality service.


What you will be doing

Achievement of entity's goals & targets

•To manage and lead the Company towards management's goals and targets
•To ensure adequate profitability in line with budget
•To lead sales, operations and logistics organization to develop volume forecasts and determine purchase strategy and operations resources plan in each financial year
•To constantly review actual results in terms of volume, staff costs, overheads, GM against budget and then propose and take corrective action to maximize the company's profitability
•To conduct relevant data analysis to prepare budget and review against budget
•To ensure services delivered to customers satisfying their quality expectation and maximizing positive contribution to the entity's gross margin

Financial Reporting

•To ensure correct and prompt finalization and submission of financial reports and budget

People Management

•To identify and review organization structure to optimize efficiency, streamline reporting effectiveness and maximize responsiveness / quality of service to customers' requirements
•To develop management succession plan of each functional unit and identify potential candidates for development through career development and training
•To ensure that the greatest asset of the Company, the people are attracted, retained and developed

Team Management

•Ensure and monitor team compliance to the Bollore's Code of Conduct and Company's regulations
•Ensure team understanding and implementation on Bollore's Value in daily work behaviors
•Plan and monitor team performance including give coaching and counselling needed to deliver expected outcomes
•Plan and monitor team development together with HR Division
•Ensure updated Job Description availability for the team by coordinating with HR Division
•Ensure all changes in Department / Section communicated properly to the team

QHSE

•Participate in the set-up and follow-up of internal standard procedures to enhance productivity and transparency
•Maintain acceptable Health, Safety and Environmental risk levels in his/her area of responsibility
•Ensure the compliance with applicable legal requirements

 

Profile

The successful candidate

•Bachelor or Master Degree in recognized university or relevant qualification preferably in Management
•Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Freight-forwarding or Logistics industries
•At least 8 years in Senior Management role
•Experience in a fast paced and dynamic multi-cultural environment
•Financial Management skills
•Strong analytical skills
•Highly adaptable and versatile
•People management skills involving cultural sensitivity
•Strong corporate responsibility
•Excellent oral, written and presentation skills in English
