This position is based at our Aberdeen offices in Dyce. The right to work in the UK is required

Job Purpose:
To expedite inbound and cross trade movements on behalf of our clients in their interests whilst delivering strategic objectives of the group.

 

Profile

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Planning and arrangement of international consignments according to client instructions and requirements
• Receiving of pre-alerts and shipping documentation
• End to end monitoring of inbound and outbound movements.
• Opening of files for Air, Sea Road & Courier shipments.
• Issuing customs clearance instructions and ensuring 100% compliance with AEO and customs policy
• Day to day invoicing and job costing
• Follow up of purchase orders/shipments
• Maintaince of SOPs
• Communication with overseas offices/partners
• Quoting new traffic / new trade lanes
• Ensuring we meet company DATA Quality KPI with required tracking information
• Ensuring any PM queries are cleared within KPI timeframe
• Collecting VAT/Duty from customers if required
• Other duties as reasonably requested by line manager


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years sea freight experience required – customs knowledge preferred
• Computer literacy is a must
• Professional telephone manner and customer service skills are essential
• Attention to detail is vitally important
• Friendly, calm and professional manner
• Ability to handle pressure and good time-management
• Ability to adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team
• Enthusiasm and self-motivated
